Future of Us Drawing Competition | Second Prize
The Singapore Planning and Urban Research Group (SPUR) was formed in the mid-1960s to carry out research, hold discussion and come out with ideas, visions and plans for the future of Singapore’s development. The group lasted till 1975 and had a rare reunion in 2015.
At this SG50 year, let’s revisit a vision of the future by our pioneers of the past. This imagination is based on an iconic SPUR drawing, the concept of which was seen as a prototype for Design Partnership’s 1973 Golden Mile Complex designed by Tay Kheng Soon, William Lim and Gan Eng Oon.
